Montecasino is a leisure and casino complex located at No.1 Montecasino Boulevard in Fourways, Sandton, Joburg.
Montecasino is built on 26 hectares of land. It was designed and built by South African architect company, Bentel Associates International, at a cost of R1.6 billion rand. It first opened its doors on 30 November 2000. It currently attracts over 9.3 million visitors annually.
It's themed after Monte Cassino, and has been designed to replicate an ancient Tuscan village. The main building with the casino even has a fake sky, painted on the roof, inside going from light to dark from one side to the other.

A meal with friends - Georg Voros at the head of the table, with Wife Lynne on his left; Sarah Wolff front right - Classical Piano Teacher at Redhill School in Jo'burg {one I visited in 2010} and friends of Georg & Lynne's Jean & Sewart to the left.
And here's a selection of views inside this surreal place ....
One for the washing-line project Jo??
I always said you should tour it worldwide :-)
Georg stops to chat to an old friend {whilst he continues uninterrupted to play at great speed!}
Slot machines in sight - security guard asked me to cease photography at this point.
Artists to the left of me, Slots to the right ..
